Mineral Resource Study

03/28/2002

Vancouver, March 28, 2002 -- DRC Resources is presently having their independent engineer prepare a year end mineral resource study from the 2001 Diamond Drilling. In 2000-2001 the company drilled 49 NQ Diamond Drill Holes totaling 23,800 metres (78,000 ft), of which 38 drill holes intersected the mineral zone, testing the copper-gold mineralization over a length of 850 metres (2800 ft).

The November 20, 2001 Mineral Resource Study prepared by the Company's independent engineer was not in compliance with National Instrument 43-101 and the Company is in the process of having a final 2001 technical report that complies with National Instrument 43-101 prepared by the Company's independent engineers.

The February, 2001 Behre Dolbear & Company Ltd. Scoping Study is a preliminary assessment of the potential economics for the Afton property under certain parameters and assumptions. The Scoping Study used the block-caving mining method to provide an estimate of capital and operating costs related to the potential development of an underground bulk tonnage mining operation. There is a high risk that the block-caving method, the mine layout, and the costs stated in the Scoping Study may prove not to be applicable when additional geological information is obtained. Along with block-caving the company is currently investigating other bulk mining methods.

The 2002 Diamond Drill Program is scheduled to begin in early April. Further studies are on-going.
